Topics for Day 1
On day 1 the participant will get an overview of Lean and take part in a Lean Healthcare Simulation: An overview of lean history and philosophy will be presented to help the participants understand the universal application of lean to all industries.

On day 2 the participant will Value Stream Mapping Healthcare Applications: Participants are given an introduction to value stream mapping (VSM) processes along with working class room examples.

Topics for Day 3
On day 3 the participant will get an understanding of TPS Problem Solving and A3 Tools. Problem Solving the Toyota way is reviewed with the participants along with exercises to help participants internalize the concept of A3 problem solving reporting, also the participant will learn 5S, visual management, standardized work, kaizen, and andon.

Topics for Day 4/5
An actual Kaizen event will be held on hospital site to focus on an immediate problem and business need, the participant will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skill and knowledge in Lean.
